The surgery removes the clouded lens and implants an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). Dr. Berkovitz specialises in premium IOLs: monofocal for sharp distance vision, multifocal & EDOF for spectacle independence at all distances, and toric lenses to simultaneously correct astigmatism. Recovery is rapid — most patients see clearly within days.
